ICCA STROKE 2020

HANDS-ON SIMULATOR TRAININGS

Practice your skills in acute stroke interventions and carotid stenting procedures in a safe training environment at ICCA 2020, under the guidance of expert interventional neuroradiologist Iris Grunwald, MD.

Acute Stroke Simulator Training / Suppoted by 3D Systems Simbionix

Working in 20 minutes slots (up to 2 physicians), you will practice endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke using a mechanical thrombectomy device(stent retriever) to remove the clot.

The training will include the following simulated procedural steps:

  • Perform diagnostic angiography to locate the clot
  • Pass a microcatheter beyond the clot
  • Position and deploy a stent retriever within the clot
  • Extract the clot while performing aspiration and inflating a balloon guide catheter

Carotid Stenting Simulator Training / Supported by 3D Systems Simbionix

Working in 20 minutes slots (up to 2 physicians), you will practice all aspects of the carotid stenting procedure using simulation.

The training will include the following simulated steps:

  • Selection of ideal working projections
  • Selection of appropriate tools
  • Performing angioplasty (selection, manipulation and deployment of balloon and stent)

No previous preparation is necessary and all levels are welcome.
